1Scope & Educational Hubs Covered
This Privacy Policy applies to master10.in, its progressive web application (PWA), and all associated educational learning hubs operated by Master10 ("we", "us", or "our").
Our educational services span five core learning domains:
CBSE Class 10 Hub
152 NCERT chapter revision modules, syllabus notes, and mock tests across 6 subjects.
General Knowledge Hub
65 categories, 1,372 Discover topic guides, and daily current affairs summaries for competitive exams.
15 free interactive utilities including Periodic Table, Formula Vault, Converters, Calculators, and Study Timer.
This policy aligns with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act) of the Republic of India.
2Local-First Architecture & On-Device Storage
We prioritize student privacy through a local-first design:
• No Account Required: You can browse study notes, practice questions across all five hubs, and take mock tests without ever creating an account or providing an email address.
• On-Device Storage: Your active quiz attempts, bookmarks, formula card settings, and test scores are saved directly in your personal browser's standard storage (localStorage).
• Your Learning Data Stays Private: Because test performance is stored locally on your device, we do not monitor or profile which questions you solve or what topics you study.
3Information Collected When You Sign In (Optional)
If you choose to sync your study bookmarks and scores across multiple devices, you may optionally sign in using Google Authentication. When you do so, we collect only minimal information necessary to identify your account:
• Basic Profile Details: Your name and email address provided by your Google account.
• Account Identifier: A secure identifier assigned by Google Firebase to associate your cloud-synced progress with your login.
Information Master10 Never Asks For:
We never collect phone numbers, government ID numbers (such as Aadhaar or PAN), residential addresses, school student roll numbers, or payment/banking information.
4Protection of Minor Students (DPDPA Section 9)
Many of our users are school students preparing for Class 10 board exams. In accordance with Section 9 of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:
No Student Behavioral Profiling:
We do not build commercial behavioral profiles or track student study habits for marketing purposes.
Parental Inquiries:
Parents or guardians may request the review or removal of any cloud-synced account created by a minor under their care by contacting privacy@master10.in.
5Non-Commercialization & Data Principles
We adhere strictly to responsible data handling:
• We Do Not Sell Personal Data: Master10 does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party brokers, marketing companies, or coaching institutions.
• Diagnostic Server Logs: Standard web server logs record basic request information (such as browser type, time of visit, and IP address) strictly for security, system health, and defense against spam or denial-of-service attempts. These logs are routinely cleared.
6Cookies, Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense Disclosures
To keep Master10 free and accessible for all learners, we may display online advertisements. Please read this section carefully to understand how cookies and third-party advertising partners operate:
• What are Cookies? Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work properly, improve user experience, and provide general reporting information.
• Essential & Functional Cookies: Master10 uses local browser storage to remember your display preferences (such as light or dark theme), your bookmarked questions, and your test progress.
• Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertisements based on a user's prior visits to Master10 or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• The DoubleClick DART Cookie: Google, as a third-party vendor, may use the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve relevant ads across our pages.

• Clear Your Local History: You can clear your test history, saved answers, and bookmarks anytime by clearing your browser's site data or cookies.
• Account Removal: If you created an optional sync account, you can request its complete deletion by writing to us, and all associated cloud progress records will be removed.
• Inquiries: Under the DPDPA 2023, you have the right to request access to or correction of any personal information you have shared with us.
